Mystery, a 3 legged German Shepard, just got adopted from Abandoned Animal Rescue Center! My aunt Rebecca was so excited because no one would take Mystery. Aunt Rebecca is a volunteer there. She is Mom's 1st cousin and my 2nd cousin.
Aunt Rebecca said that they just got their new building opened.
There are two big fenced in areas for the dogs to run and play and a big room for the cats to play in. If you would like to see pictures of the animals in thier new shelter, go to AAR's website at :

Here I am with my Aunt Rebecca and her horse, Dolly. We both love animals. If you click on the picture, it will get bigger so you can see us better. Then just click "back" at the top of the page to come back here.
My mom and dad came up with an idea. Every month, my parents will give me ten bucks for me to donate to some place that I want to. This month, I will be donating my ten bucks to Aunt Rebecca's shelter, in other words, Abandoned Animal Rescue of Tomball (address/info on their website). So, we were thinking that we could start this blog to tell other people about the great things that we can help and maybe other people will want to help them, too!

Josie, you are such a special girl!
What a wonderful place to help out with your "ten bucks"! I know you'll find many other places that need help. How great of your mom to help you with the blog. My son, Keith, has always loved animals and has a cat. He has worked and volunteered at many shelters. He likes to go into the cat room and give them TLC and a chance to crawl all over him! He's also worked at a small zoo in the mountains and every year he works at a place called Green Meadow Farms. Lots of kids come and he shows them how to milk cows and they get to hold the baby chicks and ducks and brush the sheep and hold a huge baby bottle for the new calvesto suck on! Give your mom,dad ,sister and of course yourself a big hug from Aunt Barb
Great job Josie, we're all very proud of you because you always try so hard. Thanks for caring for others so much. Grandpa and Grandma
